Join us in the Great Roundhouse for a cosy after-school evening of winter storytelling with enchanting storyteller Red Phoenix.
Gather around the roaring fire and settle in for an uplifting collection of tales inspired by the magic, mystery and wonder of winter. With stories to make you laugh, spark your imagination and perhaps even join in, it’s a magical evening for the whole family.
You may even find yourself stepping into the story, with the chance to become part of a unique pantomime play!
Surrounded by the warmth of the fire and the atmosphere of our ancient Roundhouse, it’s a lovely way to unwind after school and enjoy a little festive magic together as the evenings draw in.
A bar will be available, serving a range of drinks, with hot drinks and snacks also available to purchase from our shop.

INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET
A unique chance to visit the farm after dark this winter and gather around the roaring fire for an evening of storytelling. Enjoy an uplifting performance of our much-loved Tales of Winter Magic, brought to life by the enchanting storyteller Red Phoenix.
USEFUL INFORMATION: Please wrap up warm with sensible footwear as it can be chilly at the farm at night. You may wish to bring a blanket or cushion to make your seat more comfortable. Please bring a torch as it may be dark returning to your car to the end of the event.
TIMINGS: This special event starts at 5:30 pm, so please arrive from 5:00 pm. The event will finish at 7:30 pm.
CARERS: If you need a carer, you’re entitled to a free adult ticket to cover them. Please book your other ticket(s) as normal, and then email admin@butserancientfarm.co.uk with your order number and one of the following: evidence of Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility; PIP receipt; Access Card +1; evidence of Armed Forces Independent Payment or War Disablement Pension; D/deaf or blind registration; evidence of carer registration; a medical professional’s letter.
FIRES: Please note there will be an open fire in the house during this event.
PURCHASES: There will be a bar at this event and the opportunity to buy hot drinks, snacks, and gifts in our shop.
ALCOHOL: No alcohol to be brought into the event.
ANIMALS: We are sorry but dogs (apart from assistance dogs) are not invited to this special event.
REFUNDS: We cannot offer any refunds on tickets unless Butser Ancient Farm needs to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
SPECIAL EVENT: This event is not included as general admission for our annual pass holders. This ticket is for access to the timed event only and does not include full admission to the Farm.
