Memberships

Become part of the Butser family, and enjoy a whole year of great days out! Our annual passes pay for themselves in under three trips, and entitle you to free entry on all of our general admission opening days, as well as discounted entry on some special events.

  • Annual passholders receive a full year of free entrance to the farm — and it pays for itself in under three trips!

    As a passholder, qualifying tickets will automatically discount for you once they’re in your basket. Make sure you’re logged in to our ticket site with the account you bought the pass on!

    Offer: Free general admission entry for annual passholders, relating to the type of annual pass (eg 1x free adult ticket on an Adult Pass). £2 adult entry and free child entry for special weekends (eg BookFest, Summer Solstice).

    Requirements: Please present your pass when you arrive.

    How to claim: Log into your account on our ticket site, and select tickets as normal. They’ll automatically discount in your basket!

  • As thanks for their wonderful fundraising efforts and support, the Friends of Butser Ancient Farm are entitled to free entry.

    Offer: Free adult or concession general admission entry for Friends of Butser Ancient Farm. £2 entry for special weekends (eg BookFest, Summer Solstice).

  • Carers visiting with their charge are entitled to free entry at Butser.

    Offer: Free general admission entry for carers.

    Requirements: Please be prepared to show qualifying evidence on entry, eg doctor’s note, carers card, or PIP statement.

    Claim online: Select the ‘Carer’ ticket option when booking.

    Claim in person: Just show us your evidence and we’ll do the rest.

  • Disabled visitors receive discounted entry at Butser.

    Offer: £1 off general admission entry.

    Requirements: Please be prepared to show qualifying evidence on entry, eg doctor’s note or PIP statement.

    Claim online: Select the ‘Disabled visitor’ ticket option when booking.

    Claim in person: Just ask for a concession ticket and be prepared to show your evidence, and we’ll do the rest.

  • Students receive discounted entry at Butser.

    Offer: £1 off general admission entry.

    Requirements: Please present your student ID when you arrive.

    Claim online: Select the ‘Student’ ticket option when booking.

    Claim in person: Just show us your student ID and we’ll do the rest.

  • Seniors over 65 receive discounted entry at Butser.

    Offer: £1 off general admission entry.

    Requirements: Please be prepared to show us your ID if you’re lucky enough to have found the fountain of youth!

    Claim online: Select the ‘Senior’ ticket option when booking.

    Claim in person: Just ask for a senior ticket and we’ll do the rest.

  • Toddlers under 3 always go free at Butser!

    Offer: Free general admission entry for toddlers under 3.

    Requirements: Please be prepared to show us your baby so we can coo at them.

    Claim online: Select the ‘Under 3’s’ ticket option when booking.

    Claim in person: Just ask for an under 3’s ticket and we’ll do the rest.

  • Family life isn’t cookie cutter, so neither are our family tickets! As well as offering a picket fence two adults two kids family ticket, we also offer a ticket for single parent families.

    Offer: Reduced entry family ticket, equal to one free child.

    Requirements: Family tickets are only valid with kids under 16

    Claim in person: Just ask for a small family ticket and we’ll do the rest.

  • If your child has recently been on a school trip to Butser, they should have a History Explorer Award flyer entitling them to free entry!

    Offer: Free general admission entry for one child with a History Explorer Ward flyer per paying adult.

    Expires: 30th October 2026

    Requirements: Please fill out the History Explorer Award flyer with the name of your school and give it to us when you arrive.

  • English Heritage members can enjoy a 20% discount on tickets for themselves and up to three friends.

    Offer: 20% off general admission entry for up to four adult, concession, or child tickets for English Heritage members.

  • Oh no! Here’s some things to try:

    • Make sure you’ve copied the code exactly as it appears on this page. No spaces, all capital letters, any numbers etc.

    • Some discounts are only valid if you’re buying full-price tickets at the same time. Check your discount above to see if that’s the case!

    • Make sure you’re putting the code into the ‘Promo Code’ box on the event ticket page, and not the Voucher box further in the booking process. If you’ve clicked ‘Continue’ from your basket, you’ve gone too far!

    • These discount codes only apply to general admission. If you’re trying to use any of these codes on tickets to a workshop, day camp, festival, storytelling, or other event outside of day admission, unfortunately the discount won’t be valid.
