One-day workshop, 10am - 4pm with a break for lunch
Consider the safety aspect and practicalities for managing knife use with groups of young people
Explore woodcraft and whittling activities and projects and discuss the associated equipment and resources

Set in the unique surroundings of Butser Ancient Farm’s historic buildings - get inspired to lead others into nature
Mel Grenfell runs Wildly Curious, which provides outdoor learning experiences for young people, mainly focusing on bushcraft and traditional living skills. She’s a trained teacher with 30 years experience, a Scout Leader and an IOL Professional in Outdoor Learning. Mel also runs training for adult groups such as Forest School leaders, the Wildlife Trust, the Woodcraft Folk, Bushscout and others in that vein.

Entrance to our unique site, a full day’s tuition and expertise, and all the tools and materials needed to learn and grow in your delivery of outdoor provision for groups. You will also receive a CPD certificate and a booklet to jog your memory and inspire you.
This workshop is suitable for ages 16+.
Please wear sensible clothing and footwear for this workshop.
Sandwiches (subject to availability), hot and cold drinks, and snacks are sold in our gift shop to shore up your lunch, however we recommend that you bring your own.
