Do something different this autumn!
Is your child imaginative, curious, and energetic? Do they like being outside, trying new things, and getting hands-on with fun activities? Send them on a time-travelling adventure at Butser Ancient Farm and let them find out for themselves! A special one-off day this October half-term.
Get hands-on with a wide variety of replica artefacts. Try historic fire-starting methods, practice slinging, shape freshly dug pottery, enjoy a fireside story, examine and make simple jewellery, be trained in archery, raise basic shelters, take part in a site-wide map hunt and play ancient games with new friends. All set in and around the ancient structures of our unique site.
Make the most of the activities running throughout the day, or use the variable drop off 9-10 and variable pickup 4-5, following our usual format.
Run by knowledgeable and experienced educators who are DBS checked and First Aid trained.

More information
What should I wear?
Something practical! Comfortable shoes good for the outdoors, plenty of layers if it's cold, wet weather gear if it's rainy, and clothes you don't mind risking getting a little mucky. This workshop will likely be held both inside and outside, except in the case of extreme weather.
Should I bring anything to the day camp?
You will need to bring a packed lunch, snacks, and a water bottle
Is there parking?
Yes! We have plenty of free and accessible parking. If you're worried about accessibility, please email hello@butserancientfarm.co.uk for advice.
Where should I go on the day?
Just head to the entrance kiosk and show us your ticket as normal. We'll help with where to go after that!
