Harp Songs for a Winter’s Night with Keziah Thomas

When winter falls, the harp awakens

Single ticket £20.50

Join us for an unforgettable evening of hauntingly beautiful music as winter descends upon the ancient grounds of Butser Ancient Farm. Award-winning harpist Keziah Thomas returns with a spellbinding solo pedal harp concert celebrating the magic and mystery of Advent and Christmas through the ages.

From ancient carols and Celtic melodies to shimmering classical masterworks and pagan winter traditions, this atmospheric programme journeys through the sounds of the season. The audience will hear timeless Christmas music alongside evocative winter scenes including the icy brilliance of The Four Seasons’s Winter, the sparkling landscapes and frosted enchantment that inspired Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and music that captures the stillness, darkness, and wonder of midwinter.

Acclaimed by the New York Concert Review as “stupendous… totally original and engaging” at her Carnegie Hall debut recital, British harpist Keziah Thomas enjoys a reputation as a lively and captivating performer and educator. At the heart of her work is the belief that the power of music is for everyone - a value that inspires her rich and varied career.
