Dark Fairy Tales for the Season of Mists - Storytelling with Jason Buck

  • Butser Ancient Farm Chalton Ln Hampshire, PO8 0BG United Kingdom (map)

Welcome the darkening days with spine‑tingling tales by the fire!

Single ticket £20.50

Ages: adults and teens (12+)

As the fruitful year begins to die and fallen leaves blanket the earth, while the mists of Samhain rise from field and forest, join award-winning performance storyteller Jason Buck for an evening of shadow‑soaked folklore and haunting imagination.

Jason weaves a spellbinding collection of dark fairy tales for grown-ups - stories where the familiar twists into the uncanny, slipping between this world, the next, and the liminal realms that lie between.

“What an amazing performance! Can't wait to see more in the future, a master storyteller” Jane, Ludlow

Expect rich, immersive storytelling in this one‑man show, set in the intimate glow of the Great Roundhouse hearth. These tales delve into the darker side of folklore while celebrating the timeless power of a story well told. Perfect for lovers of myth, magic, and atmospheric evenings, this is a night to settle in, lean close, and let the stories take hold - an experience steeped in mystery, wonder, and a touch of the macabre.

“It was an excellent show. I didn't see how one person could bring a story to life - the way you told it was brilliant” Mikel, Moorforge Viking Centre

Enjoy a bar stocked with locally brewed cider and mead, alongside a range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Hot beverages and hearty snacks from our shop will be on hand to warm you as the evening deepens.
