Under the personal tutelage of master archaeo-bronzesmith James Clift, you’ll choose a design from real archaeology and learn the Bronze Age technique of casting molten metal in sand. Running on the 30th, 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, and 14th over Easter.

One-day workshop, 10am - 3pm with a break for lunch

Included in your ticket
Entrance to the farm, a full day’s tuition and expertise, and all the materials necessary to cast a sword, axehead, knife, or torc in bronze.

Please wear sensible clothing and footwear for this workshop. No open-toed or heeled shoes, bare legs, or very loose clothing please — we recommend sturdy shoes or boots. We reserve the right to cancel your ticket without refund if your clothing presents a safety risk.
Lunch is not included, although sandwiches (subject to availability), hot and cold drinks, and snacks are sold in our gift shop. You’re also welcome to bring a picnic if you prefer!
This workshop is intended for adults, but suitable for ages 16+. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults do not need workshop tickets themselves but are required to pay the site entrance fee.
