What is climate change, who’s to blame, and what can we do about it? Award-winning comedian and climate change researcher Dr Matt Winning offers his unique take on the climate emergency in this witty and enlightening show. From his quest to save proper big chips to the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Plans for Loft Insulation, Matt shares his hilarious insights on how we can work together to stop the end of the world.

Matt will perform 45 minutes from his critically acclaimed debut book Hot Mess, followed by an interval and then will perform another 45 mins of his new show Solastalgia which he is taking to the Edinburgh Fringe this August.

Dr Matt Winning is a stand-up comedian and environmental economist with a PhD in climate change policy, which means he’s the sort of doctor who will rush to your side if you fall ill on a plane, but only to berate you for flying. We are currently facing a global climate emergency. Why does the end of the world need to be so depressing? Matt lightens the mood and enlightens his audiences on climate change.

Dr Matt Winning is an environmental lecturer at the UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources and a comedian who performs live shows about climate change. Matt has a PhD in climate change policy, with 16 years experience in research including work cited by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) and the UK Committee on Climate Change.
