Let your child release their inner Saxon this Easter! Send them back through time at Butser Ancient Farm for an action-packed outdoors adventure, filled with fun hands-on activities with a historical theme.
On our Silly Saxons Easter holiday day camp, your child will experience history like never before. They’ll spend a fun-filled day with us learning to live like a Saxon, from exploring a Saxon hall to making Saxon crafts. Activities may include dressing up, learning archery, retelling Beowulf, have-a-go archaeology, and more — all in the beautiful setting of our Saxon halls and Iron Age village!
Spaces are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment!
This workshop is intended for children, and suitable for ages 6+. Children do not need to be accompanied during the day and can be safely left in our care.

USEFUL INFORMATION: Please make sure your child wears practical clothing and sensible footwear, as this event features hands-on activities and they may get a little mucky! Warm clothes are recommended.
Please note that our buildings feature open fires.
Lunch is not included in this event, but you can buy sandwiches, snacks, and hot and cold drinks in our shop. You’re also welcome to bring a picnic if you prefer!
REFUNDS: We cannot offer any refunds on tickets unless we at Butser Ancient Farm need to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
COVID-19: We will be complying with any relevant Covid-19 government guidance in place at the time of the event including the latest guidance on mask wearing. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate, please do not attend.
