Easter Holidays Fun

Activities free with your admission!
Normal entrance prices apply.

Become a time-traveller this Easter! Have a go at ancient crafts, meet new-born baby lambs, watch live demonstrations and re-enactments, follow a free children’s trail, and more. With tons happening every day, enjoy an incredible day out for all ages at Butser.

With the birth of our new-born baby lambs this Easter, we’re exploring how important sheep have been throughout history – from clothing and food to houses and farming,  our woolly friends have helped shape the world we live in today. Follow our trail to find out more and learn how to work with wool by having a go at spinning, weaving or felting.

Visit on a reenactment day to see our Roman villa filled with a legion of Roman soldiers or a village of Saxon warriors and craftsfolk bringing our Saxon halls to life!

With dogs welcome, Butser Ancient Farm is a perfect open-air day out for the whole family.

Select days: See demonstrations like metalworking, leather crafts, cooking, weaving, and watch combat displays from the Romans or Saxons!

Every day: Enjoy free activities like learning to spin wool or carve ancient designs into chalk, and follow our free children’s trail around the farm to discover how woolly sheep have shaped the history of human kind!
