thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in attending our tree planting day. We now have enough participants and are no longer able to ACCOMMODATE more people - apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support.

Thank you for your interest in attending our community tree planting day at Butser Ancient Farm. The day will take place between 10.30pm and 3.30pm but you do not need to stay for the entire day.

As a community event, this day is particularly aimed to support those on a low income and open to all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult. The farm has accessible facilities, please let us know if you have any special access requirements.

We’ll show you the best way to plant a tree, talk about the importance of tree planting and there’ll be the chance to take part in a simple nature based craft. The farm won’t be open to other visitors on this day so you’ll have exclusive access to our beautiful open air site in exchange for helping us plant more trees and helping to do our bit for nature!

Please bring a picnic if you are planning to stay the whole day and warm clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy!

Unfortunately we are not able to provide transport but we have a large free car park on site. It is also possible to catch the Number 37 bus from Petersfield to Clanfield, and come off at the Hampshire Hog in Clanfield. We are a 10 minute walk down the hill from the Hampshire Hog. Please be aware that parts of this walk are on the road with no pavement. Please remember to check bus and train times before planning your journey!
