We are currently looking for enthusiastic Education Assistants to support the delivery of engaging, curriculum-linked learning experiences for a wide range of school groups, from primary through to secondary level. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where no two days are the same!

This role is offered on a zero-hours contract, with opportunities to work 3–5 shifts (Autumn will require 5 days a week) per week depending on seasonal demand and school bookings. It would particularly suit graduates looking to turn their academic knowledge into practical experience, teachers or education professionals seeking a new direction, heritage and museum professionals wanting more public-facing educational work, or anyone with experience working with children and a genuine enthusiasm for archaeology, history, and outdoor learning.

  • Teaching timed workshop sessions for school groups

  • Working as part of the wider team to ensure the smooth running of all schools on site

  • Preparing and clearing away activity spaces and lunch areas to a high level of cleanliness

  • Preparing education resources

About you:

  • You will ideally have experience in engaging primary or secondary children in activities, this does not have to be in a formal school setting; parent helpers, uniformed groups, etc all count!

  • You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to wide age of people in an engaging manner

  • You will have a creative, collaborative, 'can do' attitude

  • Good timekeeping and organisational skills

  • Happy working in all weathers

  • You will be friendly, positive and a team player, able to represent the farm and its values

  • You will be self-motivated and will have the ability to work independently.

What we offer:

  • Long term opportunities

  • Regular shifts

  • Beautiful working environment

  • Hands on experience in an education environment

  • Holiday Pay
