Haust: Autumn Celebration
Sunday 29th September 12pm – 3pm
Join us for an afternoon of celebration as we mark the changing of the seasons from Summer to Autumn. We’ll have craft and woodworking demonstrations, hands on activities and ancient skills to prepare for the coming winter months and celebrate the beauty of the autumn.
Haust is the Old Norse word for Autumn or Fall, a time for giving thanks for the year’s harvest as well as bidding farewell to the long days and warmth of the Summer and welcoming the long nights of the Winter. At this time of the year the daylight and darkness are in balance once again before the dark takes over, so this is a transition point to reflect on what has been accomplished and what is yet to come.
Standard entrance prices apply, guided activities will run between 11am and 3pm
Normal admission prices apply – no need to book.
