Outdoor Theatre: Macbeth – Saturday 1 July
St Peters and Purbrook Park schools will come together as part of the Street Spear Schools Project in a promenade-style performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Visitors will be treated to a show on site at 11am as part of their standard entrance price. Just turn up!

Talk: Wildlife of Prehistoric Britain – Thursday 20 July
Join us for the third in our summer series of FREE talks at Butser Ancient Farm. Tiffany Francis will be exploring the wildlife of prehistoric Britain, including ancient species lost to extinction and those that still live among us. More information…

Try It! Day: Festival of Archaeology – Friday 28 July
Every year the Council for British Archaeology organise the Festival of Archaeology, and Butser Ancient Farm are delighted to celebrate with experimental archaeology, hands on activities and outdoor fun! Warrior Camp (Age 8-14) – Monday 31 July – Friday 4 August
Warrior Camp is designed for 8-14 year olds to see what life was like for young people living two thousand years ago, and what challenges they would have faced. Kids will have a go at dealing with them using modern materials, and each day is designed to answer a different set of challenges, while the whole week links together to form a fantastic summer experience. Toga Tuesdays! – 1 August / 8 August / 15 August / 22 August
Join us this summer to celebrate all things Roman! Each Tuesday throughout August, visitors can learn a little more about life as a Roman, including the kitchen, home life, fashion, weaponry, art, literature, technology and engineering. Families can also buy their own Roman passport to travel back in time with style! More information…

Flint Knapping & Lithics Soc Weekend – Saturday 12 – Sunday 13 August
Enjoy the August sun and watch flint knappers at work across the site as the Lithics Society arrive for their annual meeting. Standard entrance costs and opening times apply. Like what you see? Glorious Games & Gladiators – Bank Holiday Monday 28 August
Have you ever wondered what a real Roman gladiator day would have been like? Now you can experience it at Butser Ancient Farm! Warrior Camp II (Age 10-14) – Tuesday 29 – Thursday 31 August
Do you have what it takes to survive a night at Butser Ancient Farm? Warrior Camp II is a fierce and challenging three-day workshop for children aged 10-14, where they will develop the ancient skills learnt in Warrior Camp I. Please note: Warrior Camp II is only available to children aged 10-14, or those who have previously completed Warrior Camp I. Samhain Festival – Friday 20 October
Join us to celebrate the evening of Samhain in the magical surroundings of the great roundhouse. Between 7-10pm you will enjoy live music, professional storytelling by Jonathon Huet of Walk with Trees, a bar with local ales and hot refreshments. More information…

Spooky Storytelling & Spirit Hunt – Wednesday 25 October
