An evening with the Vikings: mead, music and storytelling
Saturday 21st September 7pm – 9pm
Don’t miss the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Dark Ages for an evening at Butser Ancient Farm this September.
On Saturday 21st September, in conjunction with the exciting new Vikings Attack! event, guests will be able to join the Vikings of Wuffa and the Anglo Saxons of Herigeas Hundas for an evening of mead, music and storytelling in the farm’s magical largest roundhouse from 7pm until 9pm.
Gather round the fire and enjoy fantastic fables and thrilling tales from our storytellers as they spin the stories of the Norse myths, along with performances from the group’s musicians using traditional instruments.
Join the warriors of the two warbands for a mead or an ale, see them in their finest clothing and listen to the sounds of our ancestors as you get lost in their midst and surround yourself with history.’
A cash bar will be available during the evening serving a variety of meads, ales, and snacks.
£15 per person.
Doors open at 6.45 for the event to start at 7pm
