Evening talk: Otzi – a Motive for Murder with Mark Havey

Join ancient survival expert Mark Havey as he unravels a 5000 year old murder mystery and examines the evidence and motives behind the death of Otzi the Iceman. In 1991 a frozen body was discovered by hikers, emerging from the thawing ice deep within the Alps. Due to the incredible preservation of the body, which has been dated to between 3400 and 3100BC, archaeologists have been able to reveal many aspects of Otzi’s life and the world he inhabited… including the grizzly details of his death. However why he was killed remains a puzzling mystery, Mark will explore theories and evidence that spotlight a sinister crime from millennia ago.
